Is managed by a cardiothoracic surgeon
A burden for the patient under pressure-overload,
As the blood goes through a narrow Aortic hole
The upstroke is slow, you see it in carotids
SAD prognosis, don't get too excited
Syncope, Angina, then he's a Dyspneic
After which he only has 18 months left
Until his death, unless the valve's replaced with
Cattle or metallic, can't give him an ACE inhibitor
for the murmur, but maybe a Lasix
but only if there is pulmonary edema
No Amyl Nitrate, no - no debutamine
No Afterload reduction - no hydralazine.
It gets better with handgrips, but yo, thats it
Because if he did a handstand, he'd need a transplant,
or hit the can, man.

The stenotic mitral leaflet - the defect is located deep in the chest
The left atrium sits in front of the esophagus
The consequence is sort of obvious
A left parasternal heave at the apex
Hemoptysis and a little bit of Afib
Hoarseness and of course dysphagic
It's all due to left atrial dilatation
Rheumatic heart disease the most common cause
And also fibrosis, leads to these problems
Easily solved, with the bell of your stethoscope
Its low-pitch, mid-diastolic, that thing I set to blow
From the left atrium to the left ventricle
Theres an impediment of the patient’s blood flow
With pressure overload, reduce the preload,
In pregnancy, you’re gonna balloon the mitral.
